about

The God That Follows is the first collection of songs to be released that were recorded in a studio Cody Brunner and myself have built. With the exception of Brevity, Some Jazzy Morning, and Chandelier all songs were produced entirely by Cody and I. Toronto producer Khayo created the beats for Brevity and Some Jazzy Morning while fellow Toronto producer Dansos created Chandelier. This is just the first set of songs to be released from recording sessions spanning from September 2014 to April 2015. Many of the songs on this album have a raw aggressive feel and a stylistic edge to them. The God That Follows will be followed by another project to hopefully be released in July that features more soulful relaxed summertime tracks.

I would like to thank Cody Brunner who is 50% of SLeepyhead for his involvement in production of all the songs and mixing the tracks entirely by himself with little hardware to make the task any easier. I'd also like to thank Khayo and Dansos for letting me use their beats as well as Mina Fedora for contributing her vocals on Brevity and Chandelier. I'd like to thank Kelly Morrow for the love, Alias Jones for the above, The Paradox for the confusion to navigate, Billy Preston for the soothing, Mason Stumph for the headache, Bitter Stephens for the inspiration, Terrence Mckenna for the excitement, Jay Electronica for existence, Kyle Stallings for the future, and Tumbling Dice for already knowing.
